Welcome to my brand new website and blog. The old site was really not a good representation of what I do and who I am today. To start with my name. Since my divorce it felt a bit weird to see my old name on the site. Using my own name feels like a relief and, in a way, also as some sort of closure.
The other thing you will notice is the subjects I will show here. Where the old site mainly showed off my botanical work, now you will find more landscapes, animals and sketches. Of course there will still be a place for my botanical illustrations.
Hopefully I soon will be able to open up a shop on this website too. A shop where you can order cards and prints of course but maybe also workshops and original work. I'm working on it...
On this blog I will keep you posted on my journey. Because to me it now feels like a search, an exploration. As Claude Monet once said:
"The painter strives to paint not the object but the effect it produces upon him."
And that is also what I strive to do. I hope you will join me.
